BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women's tennis team opened their season with a 5-0 defeat to UVA Wise on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In doubles play, the duo of Marilyn Roustand and Lauren Smorgonsky earned a 6-1 win over Lillian Morris and Sarah Moore at the top flight.
- The Cavaliers took the doubles point, winning the other two doubles matches by default.
- In singles play, Roustand fell to Liza Akimenko at the top flight 6-1, 6-0 and Smorgonsky dropped a 6-1, 6-1 match to Katya Akimenko at the second flight.
- At No. 3 singles, Murphy Harr fell to Grace Hall 6-3, 6-2.
- The Cavaliers won two more matches by default to take the match 5-0.
