Ward, Ramsey selected All-Conference Carolinas

BRISTOL, Tenn. – Prior to the start of the Conference Carolinas Women's Volleyball Championship "final four," the league announced their all-conference performers. Julie Ward and Brittney Ramsey of the King University women's volleyball team were both recognized.

Ward earns All-Conference Carolinas honors for the fourth straight year, earning second team honors for the first time. This season Ward accumulated her 1,000th career kill, and her 1,000th career dig, becoming the first Tornado in the NCAA Division II era to reach both milestones. Offensively, the Berthoud, Colo., native ranked fifth in Conference Carolinas with an average of 3.18 kills per set. Her average of 3.63 digs per set ranked 15th in the league. Ward was also outstanding at the service line, ranking sixth in Conference Carolinas with an average of 0.45 aces per set.

Ramsey garners third team All-Conference Carolinas honors, marking the third straight season she has been selected all-conference. This season, Ramsey became the King's NCAA era all-time leader in total blocks and block assists, a season after earning the top spot in solo blocks. The Afton, Tenn., native again led the league in blocking at 1.10 blocks per set. She owns the top three spots on the NCAA era list for blocks in a season, all coming in the last three years. This year she posted the most total blocks (117), block assists (83) and solo blocks at 34. Offensively, Ramsey ranked sixth in Conference Carolinas with an attack percentage of .282 and averaged 1.64 kills per set,
