BRISTOL, Tenn. — It was senior day for the Tornado Sunday afternoon at Parks Field, though a barrage of second-half goals allowed Chowan to spoil the festivities, as they picked up a 6-1 win over King.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Chowan swarmed the Tornado net early, recording a shot in the first minute of the game.
- The Hawks then recorded a shot on goal in the sixth minute, which was stopped by Nick Valentin.
- It was the 12th minute when Chowan finally broke through, as London Williams recorded a goal off a corner kick, using his head to direct the ball into the back of the King goal.
- King responded in the 35th minute, as Mate Lengyel scored his fourth of the season after the Chowan defender put the ball off the left goal post, sending it right to Lengyel, who beat the goalkeeper to tie the match.
- After being tied at the half, Chowan would score three goals in three minutes in the second half to open up a 4-1 lead. They would add one in the 78th and 82nd minutes to close out the game.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Lengyel's goal was his fourth of the season, giving him the season lead in goals scored. He took two shots, both of which were on goal despite playing just 31 minutes.
- The Tornado used three different keepers, with Valentin getting the start and making two saves. Dalton Gammon then came on and made five saves before Colin Parsons played the final 16 minutes, recording no saves.
FOR THE FOES
- Chowan finished the game with 13 shots on goal, a new season-high.
- Sam Hall had two goals for the Hawks, striking in the 68th minute and the 70th minute as part of the second-half onslaught.

- King will wrap up the season Wednesday afternoon with a nonconference matchup against Shaw. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. at Parks Field.
- The Hawks are the no. 2 seed in the Conference Carolinas tournament, and will get a double bye into the conference semifinals, to be played Friday Nov. 12 in Florence, S.C.
