HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Eagles took the doubles point with a pair of 6-0 wins and a win by default.
- In singles play, Carson-Newman won the No. 3 and No. 5 singles matches 6-0, 6-0 to extend their lead.
- At No. 2 singles, Lauren Smorgonsky fell 6-0, 6-2 and Murphy Harr fell 6-0, 6-2 at the fifth flight.
- The Eagles also won the No. 1 singles match to take the dual 7-0.
