MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The King University women's tennis team was shorthanded on Monday afternoon as they dropped a Conference Carolinas dual at Chowan University 6-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Hawks took both doubles matches 6-1 as the third match was forfeited on both sides, but Chowan won the doubles point.
- Chowan continued to play well in singles, taking all four matches in straight sets.
- Vanessa Francois fell to Arina Karbolina 6-2, 6-0 at the second flight while Lauren Smorgonsky dropped a 6-1, 6-1 match to Julieta Lecce at the third flight.
UP NEXT
- King closes the season on Wednesday when they travel to UVa-Wise. The dual is scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m.
- Chowan travels to Shaw University on Tuesday.
