Box Score 2 BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University softball team hosted one of the top teams in the southeast region on Sunday afternoon. The Tornado took game one 4-2 behind a pair of home runs before a Mountain Lion long ball topped the Tornado 1-0 in the nightcap.

SERIES HIGHLIGHTS
- Jenna Burnett drove in three, ripping her first home run of the season in game one. She also added a double.
- Katelyn Davidson laced her second home run of the season and posted two hits on the day.
- Rachel Farmer tossed a complete game in the circle, her second career complete game.
GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS
- The Mountain Lion offense threated in nearly every inning, but Tornado pitcher Farmer was up to the task.
- Farmer stranded a pair in the first and left the bases loaded with Mountain Lions in the second inning.
- King grabbed the lead in the third inning as Burnett came up with two runners on and two outs.
- She laced the ninth pitch of the at bat over the fence down the left field line, putting the Tornado on top.
- The Mountain Lions countered with a pair of runs in the fifth inning, one on a Jill Torres single and another on a Carly Rigsbee groundout.
- Davidson added an insurance run in the sixth inning with a leadoff home run that gave King a 4-2 lead.
- That was all Farmer need as she retired the final seven batters she faced, giving King the 4-2 win.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS
- Game two was a pitcher's duel between Louisa Disi of Young Harris and Casey Gilbert of King.
- Both pitchers stranded a runner in the first inning before the Mountain Lions stuck in the second inning.
- Torres ripped a home run to right center, putting Young Harris ahead 1-0.
- Danielle Parks started a two-out rally for the Tornado in the bottom half, and Katie McCann followed with a walk.
- However, King didn't come up with a hit, stranding a pair.
- Each team had a base runner in nearly every inning, but couldn't string a few hits together as they all were stranded.
- Bailey Deason worked a two-out walk in the sixth, but that was the last base runner King would get as Young Harris took the contest 1-0.

FOR THE FOES
- Torres led Young Harris with three hits on the day, including the home run in game two.
