Box Score BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's basketball team did most of the heavy lifting in the first half of their 94-74 win over Johnson University (Tenn.). The Tornado shot better than 50 percent and raced out to a 23-point halftime lead as they cruised to the 94-74 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
- Johnson got out to a 6-2 lead before a Josh Releford triple ignited an 11-0 run for the Tornado.
- Damion Ottman converted an old fashioned three-point play before Justin Frazier gave King a 13-6 lead with a triple.
- The Royals came back to even the score at 13 before King rolled off nine straight points, capped by a James Brown bucket that gave King a 22-13 lead nine minute into the contest.
- The Tornado later used an 18-4 spurt, stretching their advantage to 44-24 following a Mike Salomon triple.
- Brown gave King their largest lead of the half at 54-27 with a layup before the Royals scored the final four points of the half.
- King held a 54-31 lead at the break after shooting 52.5 percent from the floor.
Second Half
- Johnson tried to come back a couple of times, but each time they would get close, King would answer.
- The Royals pulled within 57-41, but the Tornado came back with nine straight points to stretch their lead back to 67-41.
- King gained their largest lead of the game at 80-50 with eight minutes remaining following a pair of Ottman free throws.
- Johnson came back, but King eventually took the contest 94-74.

- Brown led King with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
- Ottman followed with 15 points and Frazier chipped in with 11 points and five rebounds.

- Coby Jones led Johnson with 22 points while Estiven Estacio followed with 10 points and nine rebounds.

- The double-double for Brown is his first of the year and second of his career.
