BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women's tennis team played their first dual of the season against one of the region's top teams. The Tornado dropped the nonconference affair with Tusculum University 7-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Pioneers took the doubles point by winning all three doubles matches.
- The tandem of Marylin Roustand and Jordyn Karmatz fell 6-1 at the top flight to Annie McCullough and Caitlin McCullough.
- In singles play, Vanessa Francois played well at the top flight, but fell to Emilie Hansen 6-1, 6-4.

- King will be in action on September 27-30 at the ITA Southeast Regional. The next dual for King is on October 5 when they host Mars Hill University.
