Box Score BURLINGTON, N.C. – With a spot in the Conference Carolinas Softball Championship title game, third seed North Greenville University came away with a 2-0 victory over fourth seed King University. The Crusaders got another spectacular pitching performance, this time from Amanda Coffrin who tossed another shutout.

OFFENSIVE HIGHLIGHTS
- North Greenville had five players account for their five hits with Ashton Withers and Jaelin Griffin each driving in runs.
- For King, Hannah Riddle posted a pair of hits.
PITCHING HIGHLIGHTS
- Coffrin only allowed four hits for North Greenville and struck out five in seven innings.
- For King, Leslie Odom threw five innings and allowed two runs on five hits.
- Rachel Farmer tossed the final inning for the Tornado.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- King had their best scoring chance of the day in the first inning with a leadoff single and later a hit by pitch to put two runners one.
- However, the Tornado couldn't capitalize.
- North Greenville got a rally going in the second inning with back-to-back one-out singles.
- Griffin then ripped a sacrifice, scoring Taylor Koon to put the Crusaders ahead.
- The Crusaders then started the third inning with a double and single to put runners on the corners for Ashton Withers. She hit a sacrifice fly, extending the North Greenville lead to 2-0 after three.
- That was all Coffrin needed as she retired the last five batters she face to give the Crusaders the victory.

- North Greenville advances to Sunday's Conference Carolinas Softball Championship title game and will face the winner between King and either Limestone College or University of Mount Olive.
