BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women's tennis team earned a win on Friday night as they defeated Bluefield State College. The teams split a pair of doubles matches before King won four singles matches for the 5-2 win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The King duo of Catherine Vezey and Haley Maloney took an 8-0 victory over Kelsi Browning and Leandrea Armbrister at No. 2 doubles.
- In singles play, King took three straight 6-0, 6-0 wins at flights three, four and five.
- Vezey defeated Armbrister at the third flight, Ashley Salazar topped Browing at No. 4 singles and Maloney defeated Maggie Tien at the fifth flight.
- At No. 2 singles, Katya Cerny defeated Laura Hernandez 4-6, 6-4, 10-4, giving King the 5-2 victory.
