BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women's tennis team opened their dual season at home on Saturday afternoon against regional rival Tusculum College. The Pioneers took the dual 9-0, handing King their first loss of the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Pioneers took the lead early, winning all three doubles matches, taking the second and third flights 8-0 and the top flight 8-1.
- For the Tornado, Katya Cerny fell to Franziska Funke 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 singles and Haley Maloney dropped a 6-1, 6-0 decision to Jule Brass at the fifth flight.

- King will be in action again on Sunday when they host Emory & Henry College. The dual is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.
