SUMTER, S.C. – The King University women's tennis team entered the Conference Carolinas Tournament as the seventh seed and knew they had a tough matchup with second seed University of Mount Olive. The Trojans took all three doubles matches before the Tornado took one singles match. However, that was all King would win as Mount Olive took the match 5-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Trojans took the lead by winning all three doubles matches, however Alyssa Salazar and Haley Maloney kept their match close at No. 3 doubles.
- The tandem fell to Nicole La Chappelle and Mulan Bartz 8-4.
- In singles play, Salazar defeated Mariana Gamboa 6-1, 6-3 at the fifth flight to get King on the board.
- However, the Trojans took wins at No. 1 and No. 3 singles to clinch the match 5-1.
