King falls to Tusculum in first dual of year

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The King University women's tennis team started their dual season on Wednesday at Tusculum College. The Pioneers grabbed the lead in doubles and took the match 9-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Pioneers took all three doubles matches 8-0 to grab the lead in the dual.
  • Katya Cerny played well at No. 1 singles, falling to Erin Mills 6-0, 7-5.
  • Marianne Hull fell to Jule Brass 6-3, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.
  • Tusculum won all the other singles matches to take the dual 9-0.

UP NEXT

  • King will be in action again on October 16 when they host Milligan College at 2:30 p.m.
  • Tusculum hosts Mars Hill University on October 11.
