Box Score BRISTOL, Tenn. –The King University women's soccer team pulled out an overtime victory in a nail-biter Saturday afternoon against Pfeiffer University. After Pfeiffer tied the game at four to send in to extra minutes, Kara Garrett scored the golden goal to defeat the Falcons in the second overtime period 5-4.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kara Garrett landed King on the board early when she beat the defense, connected Hulda Sigurdardottir, and laced one over the keeper in the seventh minute.
- In the 16th minute Miranda Smith gave King the 2-0 advantage when she chipped one over the keeper and found the back of the net.
- Smith tallied another in the 24th minute when she picked up a rebound from a Garrett shot and finished to give King a 3-0.
- Pfeiffer was able to cut King's lead to 3-1 going into the half when Aaliyah Jackson connected with Stephanie Hardig on a cross from the right side of the box.
- In 52nd minute Garrett recorded her second goal of the game from perfectly sent ball from Smith, crossed in from the right side of the box.
- Less than a minute later Hailey Havelind beat the King defense and receiving a pass from Marcy Santana and finished to shorten King's lead to 4-2.
- On a free kick taken from about 30 yards out by Santana, Tori Jackson was able to connect with the kick and touch one pass the goal line in the 61st minute.
- In the 82nd Aaliyah Jackson netted the equalizer when she connected with Tori Jackson to land her second goal of the game and send the game into overtime play.
- The first overtime period was scoreless on both sides sending it to overtime period number two.
- In the 105th minute Garrett laced one in from inside of the box from Sigurdardottir to end the match and record a hat trick
- The Tornado outshot the Falcons 23-16 in the game.

- With her two goals recorded in today's match Aaliyah Jackson leads Pfeiffer in goals scored with 11.
- Havelind tallied her third goal of the season while Tori Jackson tallied her second.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- This is Garrett's first hat trick in her career.
- After scoring three in today's contest Garret ranks second in the Conference Carolinas with 13 goals.
- Including her two goals today Smith has five goals for the season.
- With her assist handed out today Smith ranks second in the Conference Carolinas with seven.
- This is the third time King has landed five goals in a game this season.
