SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The King University women's golf team finished third at the Converse Spring Invitational, hosted by Converse.
Kate Watanasiripong and
Jasmine Sachdev both finished in the top-10, with Watanasiripong finishing tied for fifth.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Watanasiripong shot an 82 in the first round, following it up with a 79 in round two to finish at 161, good to tie for fifth place.
- Sachdev finished eighth, shooting a first round 85 before carding a team-low 78 in the final round, totaling 163.
- Lucy Holbrough finished tied for 11th, shooting rounds of 87-81, finishing with a total of 168.
- Carolina Calzada was 21st, shooting a first round 93 and a final round 87, while Joanna Stevens was 31st, with a two-round total of 200.
FOR THE FOES
- Lizzie Madden of Converse won the individual medal by one stroke over North Greenville's Aubrey Merryman.
- The Valkyries also won the team title, finishing more than 30 strokes ahead of second-place North Greenville.

- King will compete at the Agnes McAmis Memorial next week, hosted at Link Hills Country Club in Greeneville, Tenn.
