Late goal downs King at North Greenville

TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The King University women's soccer team dropped their Conference Carolinas match to North Greenville, 1-0 on a goal in the 89th minute for the Trailblazers despite Olivia Seston making eight saves for the Tornado.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • It took inside of four minutes for the Tornado to take their first shot, which came from Ella Froehlich and was stopped by the NGU goalkeeper.
  • Izzy Brantley took a shot in the 24th minute that was stopped, resulting in a King corner kick.
  • Seston picked up her second save of the match in the 33rd minute, with a second shot a minute later sailing out of bounds.
  • Seston made one more save in the half, stopping a shot in the 40th minute to send the match into the halftime break scoreless.
  • After Seston made a couple of saves early in the second half, Teeghan Harris took her first shot of the match, but it was stopped by the Trailblazers goalkeeper.
  • One minute later, Seston made another save before NGU put the ball out of play, resulting in a goal kick.
  • Froehlich had another shot on goal in the 76th minute, but again it was stopped by the NGU goalie.
  • The Trailblazers netted the lone goal in the 89th minute, while Charlotte Hart took a shot off the restart that went out left.
