EMORY, Va. –
Brianna Sabitino scored her first career goal Sunday afternoon, but a late goal proved to be the difference, as the King University women's soccer team narrowly fell to Emory & Henry College, 2-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- King got the first scoring chance, as in the 11th minute Izzy Clark took a shot that was stopped by the Wasps goalkeeper.
- Emory & Henry took a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute on a Maddie Hummel goal.
- King would go on to take five shots in the half, two of which ended up on net, but were unable to find the back of the net, trailing 1-0 heading to halftime.
- King kept the pressure on the Wasps, and after multiple chances finally broke through in the 71st minute, when Mackenzie Winters found Sabitino, who found the back of the net to even the score at 1.
- The Wasps re-took the lead in the 85th minute on a goal from Adrienne Harris, going ahead 2-1.
- The Tornado didn't go down quietly, as they had two shots on goal in the final three minutes, but were unable to find an equalizing goal.

- In addition to her goal, Sabitino had two shots on the match.
- Veronica Roach took three shots, one of which was on net.
- Kristal Garcia made one save for the Tornado.
FOR THE FOES
- Hummel and Harris both had goals, with Harris adding an assist on Hummel's goal.
- Natalie Ciapone had six saves for the Wasps in the winning effort.
