PEMBROKE, N.C. – The King University women's soccer team traveled to take on Conference Carolinas-leading UNC Pembroke on Saturday morning. The Braves tallied three goals in the opening half and added four more in the second half to take the contest 8-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Braves' offense applied pressure to the King defense from the start, taking two corner kicks and three shots in the opening five minutes.
- King responded with a corner kick in the sixth minute for their first scoring chance.
- The UNC Pembroke pressure paid off in the 12th minute when Ashleigh Harris found the back of the net.
- The Braves broke through again in the 19th minute and the 21st minute when Harris scored her second goal of the game.
- The UNC Pembroke defense was stout as well as they only allowed the Tornado to take the one corner kick in the opening 45 minutes, taking a 3-0 lead into halftime.
- The Brave offense continued to pressure the King defense in the second half, extending their lead to 6-0 with a pair of goals in the 59th minute.
- Brianna Sabitino accounted for the lone Tornado shot of the match, coming in the 61st minute.
- However, it was turned away by the UNC Pembroke goalkeeper.
- The Braves added two late goals to take the contest 8-0.

- UNC Pembroke posted 51 shots, 23 on goal and earned nine corner kicks.
