Tyler Kipp '25

Tyler Kipp joined the King University men's basketball coaching staff in August 2025.

A native of Reading, Pennsylvania, Kipp brings a unique background as a multi-sport student-athlete and emerging coach. Prior to joining the Tornado coaching staff, Kipp was a member of both the King men's basketball and golf programs while also serving as a volunteer student assistant coach during the 2024 season.

Kipp graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 2020, where he was a four-year member of both the basketball and golf teams. On the golf course, he established himself as one of the most accomplished players in school history, qualifying for the Pennsylvania State Championships three times and becoming the first and only golfer in program history to win a County Championship.

On the basketball court, Kipp helped lead Muhlenberg to the 2020 Pennsylvania State District 3 Championship under the direction of former NBA player Tyrone Nesby. He finished his high school career ranked second in program history for three-pointers made.

Kipp began his collegiate career at California University of Pennsylvania, where he competed on the golf team from 2020–22. As a freshman, he earned Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Freshman of the Year honors, quickly establishing himself as one of the conference's top young golfers.

Following his time at California University of Pennsylvania, Kipp transferred to King University, where he competed for both the Tornado golf and basketball programs. During the 2024 season, he also gained valuable coaching experience as a volunteer student assistant with the men's basketball program, assisting with daily operations and player development.

A two-year team captain during his playing career, Kipp developed a strong passion for leadership, mentorship, and team culture. In addition to his collegiate experience, he has remained actively involved in the sport through coaching youth basketball camps and officiating games in both Pennsylvania and Tennessee.

Kipp begins his coaching career with the Tornado eager to contribute to the continued growth and success of the program.

"I am grateful to Coach G for this opportunity," Kipp said. "I'm excited to begin my coaching career and continue contributing to the Tornado basketball program."
