Taylor Graalman is the head coach of the King University Tornado men’s and women’s tennis programs. He was named to the position in July 2024, bringing valuable playing and coaching experience from nearby Milligan University.
Recent Seasons as Head Coach
- In his first season (2024–25), Graalman led the Tornado to a combined 17 wins across both programs. The teams made an appearance in the Conference Carolinas Tournament, highlighted by a strong road sweep of Ferrum in Conference Carolinas play. One of the programs recorded 7 wins during the season.
- Graalman has quickly made an impact, emphasizing competitive performance and development in the early stages of his tenure at King.
Pre-King Coaching and Playing Experience
Graalman comes to King from Milligan University, where he served as head tennis coach after previously working as an assistant coach and serving as a four-year captain for the Buffaloes. In three seasons as head coach at Milligan, his teams combined for 59 wins and finished as high as fourth in the Appalachian Athletic Conference.
In addition to his work at Milligan, Graalman has coached at the Roton Point Tennis and Sailing Club (assistant tennis coach), the Dale Short Tennis Academy, and the Richland Country Club in Nashville, Tennessee.
As a player at Milligan, Graalman ranks fifth in program history with 24 singles wins and 29 doubles wins. He was named to the NAIA Scholar-Athlete team as a senior.
High School and Personal
A native of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Graalman was a standout at Siegel High School. He was a five-time state semifinalist, served as team captain, and was named 3AAA Male Player of the Year in 2015.
Graalman earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Milligan University in 2020 and completed his Master of Education in December 2021.
Graalman brings a strong background in player development, competitive experience, and program building to the King University tennis programs.
