Reagan McCray, a rising collegiate coach with a strong background in offensive strategy, player development, and program operations, is in her second year as an assistant coach for King University Women’s Basketball. McCray joined the Tornado staff after beginning her coaching career at Limestone University, where she also completed both her undergraduate and graduate degrees.
Before arriving at King, McCray served as an Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Limestone University. In that role, she operated as the program’s offensive coordinator and director of player development. She led film sessions, organized recruiting visits, prepared scouting reports, and constructed game plans and offensive strategies. McCray also designed practice plans, coached drills and scrimmages, conducted player evaluations, and assisted with game-day coaching. Her responsibilities extended to coordinating team travel, managing administrative tasks, overseeing academic progress, and maintaining active communication with high-school and collegiate coaches to support recruiting pipelines. She additionally assisted the Limestone men’s basketball program with summer camps and clinics.
Since joining King University, McCray has continued to oversee offensive game planning and player development. She maintains recruiting relationships, breaks down game film, compiles scouting reports, and organizes daily practices, scrimmages, and individual player evaluations. McCray also designs conditioning programs, delivers hands-on skill development sessions, and manages equipment ordering, inventory, and game-day gear logistics.
McCray’s playing career at Limestone University was marked by standout achievements. She earned multiple South Atlantic Conference statistical titles, including Three-Point Field Goal Percentage Champion (2020–21, 2021–22) and Three-Pointers per Game Champion (2020–21, 2021–22). She was named Second Team All-Conference in 2021–22 and earned SAC AstroTurf Player of the Week honors during the 2020–21 season.
Her early experience includes internships with Archbishop Edward A. McCarthy High School’s middle-school basketball tournament and girls’ basketball summer camp, as well as an on-campus sport management practicum at Limestone University.
A native of South Florida, McCray graduated from Limestone University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management in 2021 and later earned her MBA in Sports Management in 2022. She is a 2017 graduate of Archbishop Edward A. McCarthy High School.
