Prior to joining King, he spent time coaching at both the high school and club levels, helping athletes develop their technical skills and competitive abilities.

Prough competed collegiately at the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kansas, where he was a member of the wrestling program while earning his bachelor's degree in Sports Management with a minor in Psychology. His experience as a student-athlete provided him with a strong foundation in athlete development, team culture, and competitive preparation.

Following graduation, Prough joined the coaching staff at Piper High School in Kansas City, Kansas, serving as an assistant wrestling coach. In that role, he assisted with practice planning, athlete development, and competition preparation while also helping facilitate offseason technique camps designed to enhance the skills of wrestlers throughout the program.

In addition to his high school coaching experience, Prough worked with the Greater Heights Wrestling Club in Kansas City, where he helped train and mentor wrestlers of various ages and skill levels. His experience at both the club and high school levels has allowed him to develop a comprehensive approach to teaching wrestling fundamentals and fostering long-term athletic growth.

Prough's background in coaching, athlete development, and sports management provides valuable experience to the Tornado wrestling program as he helps support the continued success of King men's wrestling.

Prough earned his Bachelor of Science in Sports Management with a minor in Psychology from the University of Saint Mary, and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at King University.
