Emily joined the Tornado staff prior to the 2020-21 as an Assistant Professor & Program Coordinator for the Excercise Science Program as well as a strength and conditioning coach. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
Prior to coming to King, Emily served as the Assistant Director of the East Tennessee State University (ETSU) Center of Excellence for Sport Science and Coach Education. She is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Global Sport Leadership with an expected graduation date of May 2021. She was a personal trainer in the health and fitness industry for many years in Hawaii, and then a volunteer English teacher in China for some time.
Emily has taught classes in organizational behavior, legal issues in sport, and strength and conditioning. In her previous post, she worked with Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), served on several committees, and represented the graduate student population at ETSU in student government.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Sport Physiology and her Master of Science in Sport Pyshiology from Texas A&M University. She acquired an Master of Business Administration from ETSU in 2017.
Mrs. Conner loves teaching and mentoring students, serving in her local church, and spending time with her husband Charlie.
