Colby Simone is a developing collegiate esports coach with experience in competitive gaming, digital content creation, and student-athlete leadership. He was announced as an Assistant Coach for King University Esports in 2025.
Simone brings a versatile blend of program operations, player development, and multimedia skills to the Tornado staff. In his role at King, he assists with recruiting, team management, practice planning, competitive strategy, and content creation for the program. His background in cross-cultural communication, conflict mediation, and data analysis strengthens his ability to mentor student-athletes both in performance and personal development.
Before joining King’s esports staff, Simone gained diverse professional experience across several industries. At In Control Crash Prevention, he taught certified crash-prevention and safe-driving techniques to teen and adult drivers, communicating complex concepts clearly and ensuring compliance with state safety protocols. He also worked at Landry’s Bicycles as a Sales Associate and Service Department Assistant, managing inventory, reconciling cash drawers, supporting technical repairs, and delivering high-quality customer service.
Simone has also built a strong digital presence as a content creator and affiliate marketer for Cutler Nutrition and multiple e-commerce brands. He produced engaging product videos and live shopping content, analyzed audience insights to optimize performance, and grew his personal brand through authentic influencer marketing. Most recently, he has served as a Product Specialist at Friendship Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, guiding customers through the vehicle-buying process, presenting product features, and using social media to generate leads and promote inventory.
A native of Bristol, Tennessee, Simone earned his B.A. in Business from King University in 2025 with a concentration in Finance and Business Hospitality. During his time at King, he competed as a student-athlete in swimming, cycling, track and field, and esports, developing leadership, resilience, and strong time-management skills. He also played a key role in Student-Life Activities Launch, leading orientation programming for over 140 incoming students and supporting campus engagement initiatives.
