Joye Levendusky

Joye Levendusky joined the King University Athletics staff in November 2025 as the Strength and Conditioning Coach, bringing extensive experience in athletic performance, coaching, sports nutrition, and athlete development.

Prior to arriving at King, Levendusky built a diverse coaching background in both collegiate athletics and private performance training. Over the past four years, she worked as a remote health coach and personal trainer, helping more than 80 clients achieve their fitness, performance, and wellness goals. Her experience working with athletes and individuals from a variety of backgrounds has provided her with a comprehensive approach to strength development, conditioning, and overall health.

Levendusky also served on the coaching staff at Southern Oregon University, where she was promoted from assistant coach to head coach of the women's wrestling program. In addition to her coaching responsibilities, she directed the team's strength and conditioning program, designing and implementing training plans aimed at maximizing athletic performance and competitive success.

As a competitor, Levendusky has achieved success at the highest levels of wrestling. She is a senior-level wrestler for Team USA and has earned recognition as a five-time All-American, three-time national finalist, U.S. Open Champion, and Team USA National Team member. Her competitive background also includes participation in soccer, diving, track and field, and wrestling, giving her a unique perspective on the physical and mental demands faced by student-athletes across multiple sports.

Levendusky's experience as both an elite athlete and coach has shaped her philosophy of whole-person development, emphasizing leadership, discipline, accountability, and personal growth alongside athletic achievement.

At King, Levendusky oversees the strength and conditioning programs for all varsity athletic teams. She is responsible for designing and implementing training programs that enhance athletic performance while fostering a culture of intentional excellence, relentless effort, and student-athlete development.

“Joye brings a high level of excellence and expertise with the right balance of faith integration and whole-person development that made her a perfect fit to lead our strength and conditioning program,” Vice President of Athletics Jose Larios said. “Joye gets it, and we’re so excited to have her serving our student-athletes.”

“My goal is to help our student-athletes become not only great competitors but also great people, which I believe is the true purpose of college athletics,” Levendusky said. “Doing what others will not is the mindset I want to instill in the athletes at King.”

Levendusky earned her bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and Sports Performance with a minor in Sports Psychology and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration. She is also a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Sports Nutrition Coach.
