Hendey joined the Tornado prior to the 2022-23 season, following a season as an assistant coach at Colorado Mesa University.
Year-By-Year Season Recaps
2022-23: King posted a 6-0 record in duals, including a 3-0 at the NWCA National Duals to win their second straight national championship. The Tornado came back in the championship dual to defeat second-ranked North Central as Viktorya Torres came up with a pin over second-ranked Yele Aycock as Torres was trailing 8-0 in the match. Chey Bowman then defeated fifth-ranked Traeh Haynes at 191 pounds to give King the come-from-behind victory. The Tornado then finished runner-up at the NCWWC National Championships with 12 All-Americans and one national champion. Ana Luciano topped Aycock 8-7 in the championship bout at 136 pounds to earn her first national championship. Four Tornado finished runner-up.
Prior to King
While at Colorado Mesa, she helped the Mavericks finish fifth at the National Collegiate Women’s Wrestling Coalition (NCWWC) National Championships with six All-Americans in 2022.
Hendey was a three-time Women’s Collegiate Wrestling Association (WCWA) All-American and two-time national finalist for the Tornado, winning a national title her senior year in 2015. She helped the Tornado win four national titles in two years as King won the NWCA National Duals championship and WCWA national championship in 2014 and 2015.
She also has competed for Team USA as she is a three-time Team USA National Team member and three-time Senior Pan-American medalist. In 2016, Hendey won the U.S. Open.

Hendey graduated from King in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business with an emphasis on Sports Management and minor in Coaching.
