Weathersbee joined the Tornado staff prior to the 2021-22 season following a season at UNC Wilmington.

She spend the 2020-21 season as a volunteer assistant coach for the women’s and beach volleyball programs at UNC Wilmington and serving as an assistant coach for the NCA Coastal Volleyball Club.

Prior to that, Weathersbee was a graduate assistant coach at Marymount University for two seasons. While there she helped lead teh Saints to two conference championships and two NCAA tournament appearances. While there she also coached East Coach Power DC Volleyball Club for two years.

Weathersbee played volleyball at Lees-McRae College where she was sixth on the all-time assists list. She was twice selected academic All-Conference Carolinas.

She graduated from Lees-McRae in 2018 with a degree in sports administration and minor in coaching. In 2020 she earner her master of human resource management degree from Marymount.
