2017-18

Indoor

• Posted two top-10 finishes at the Appalachian Open including a fourth-place finish in the 400-meter race and a seventh-place finish in the 200-meter event
• Recorded three top-20 finishes at the Conference Carolinas Championship including one top-10 finish.  Downes finished eighth in the 4x400, 11th in the 400, and 18th in the 200-meter races

Outdoor

• Opened the season with a ninth-place finish in the 4x400 relay at the Terrier Relays
• At the Catamount Classic, posted a third-place finish with the 4x400 relay team 
• Posted five top-20 finishes at the Conference Carolinas Championship including a fifth-place finish in the javelin 

High School: Attended Clarkrange High School...Helped team to three regional championships and one state championship appearance.

Personal: Son of Rick and Monica Downes...Majoring in Biology...Member of BETA Club and ROTC.
