- King earned a win at third-ranked University of Mount Olive last weekend, handing the Trojans their first defeat of the season.
- It marked King's first win over a nationally ranked team since defeating Mount Olive in 2019.
- The win was also the first for the Tornado over a top 10 team since 2013 when King defeated Mount Olive twice when they were ranked No. 1 and once when they were ranked No. 2 in the country.
- In game one of Sunday's doubleheader, Bennett McCann drove in a pair in the second inning, and King added another unearned run in the frame.
- Drew Moore made that standup, tossing 6.1 innings where he allowed two runs on five hits and struck out five.
- Nic Blankenship threw the final two-thirds of an inning to earn his second save of the season.
- Connor Andrews has paced the Tornado offensively, hitting .375.
- Andrews and McCann lead King with seven runs batted in apiece.

- Dallas Trevena leads Chowan with nine runs batted in on the season.
