- King opened their season with a pair of wins at NCAA Division I foe Saint Francis University (Pa.).
- The Tornado took Friday night's matchup 3-1 before winning Saturday's rematch 3-2.
- Joshua Kim paced the Tornado offense both nights and was selected Conference Carolinas Player of the Week.
- He posted 18 kills and 11 digs on Friday night and added 19 kills on Saturday. For the week, King hit .342 and averaged 4.11 kills per set.
- Aaron Milstead followed for the Tornado with 11 kills.
- On the defensive side, Noah Melendez was solid on the serve receive, not making one error and accounted for seven digs.
- Jack Sarnowski handed out 35 assists on Friday night and AJ Drooker dished out 29 helpers on Saturday.
