- King opened their season with a strong effort against Conference Carolinas preseason favorite Emmanuel College on Wednesday.
- The Tornado fell 84-81 following a late comeback to even the score at 81 in the final minutes
- Brandon Lamberth scored a career-best 15 points to lead the Tornado against Emmanuel on Wednesday.
- On Friday night, Michael Mays scored a career-high 25 points on 10-for-19 shooting from the floor.
