Young Harris, Ga. – King University tennis traveled to Young Harris, Ga., on Saturday morning for a Conference Carolinas matchup at the Bob and Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex, with both the men's and women's teams falling 7-0. The Tornado faced a tough road test against the Mountain Lions in conference action, with Young Harris controlling momentum early behind strong doubles play and carrying that edge into singles competition across both matches.
Men:
The King men fell 7-0 in conference play, as Young Harris secured the doubles point and maintained control throughout singles competition.
In doubles, the Mountain Lions swept all three matches to take an early 1-0 lead.
Danny Neleman and
Lucas Machado were defeated 6-4 at No. 1 doubles, while
Rohan Chalisgaonkar and
Bar Meshel fell 6-0 at No. 2.
Maximillian Kellner and
Ben Jones dropped a 6-2 decision at No. 3.
King battled in singles play, with a pair of tightly contested matches highlighting the effort.
Lucas Machado delivered a strong performance at No. 3 singles, bouncing back after dropping the first set before falling in a third-set tiebreak 1-6, 6-4, 10-5.
Ben Jones also pushed his match to a deciding super tiebreak at No. 6 singles but came up just short in a 6-7, 7-2, 11-9 defeat.
Danny Neleman fell 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, while
Bar Meshel dropped a competitive first set before falling 7-5, 6-2 at No. 2.
Beckham Sylvester and
Rohan Chalisgaonkar were also defeated in straight sets at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively, as Young Harris secured the 7-0 result.

Rani Malhoe was defeated 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2.
Shellby Tranchita dropped a 6-2, 6-1 decision at No. 3, and
Trinity Moore fell 6-1, 6-3 at No. 4.
Ruth Robison and
Sarah Hale rounded out the lineup at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, falling 6-0, 6-1 and 6-1, 6-0, respectively, as Young Harris completed the sweep.
