Bristol, Tenn. – The King University men's and women's tennis teams hosted Converse University in a Conference Carolinas matchup on Saturday. The Tornado men fell 6-1, while the women dropped a 7-0 decision.

Men:
The Tornado men battled throughout the lineup, earning one point in a 6-1 loss to Converse.
In doubles play, Converse claimed the opening point by taking two of the three matches. The King duo of
Bar Meshel and
Ben Jones secured a 6-4 victory at No. 3 doubles for the Tornado's lone win in doubles action.
In singles,
Danny Neleman provided the highlight of the day for King with a hard-fought win at the top of the lineup. After taking the first set 6-3, Neleman dropped a tight second-set tiebreak before responding with a dominant 10-2 super tiebreak to earn the Tornado's only point.
The remaining singles matches were competitive in stretches, including
Bar Meshel's three-set battle at No. 2, but Converse ultimately controlled the rest of the lineup to secure the team victory.

The Tornado women fell 7-0 to Converse despite several competitive moments across the lineup.
Converse took an early lead by sweeping all three doubles matches to secure the doubles point. King's pairs showed fight, particularly at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, but were unable to break through.
In singles play, the Tornado continued to compete, with
Shellby Tranchita pushing her opponent in a strong showing at No. 2 singles.
Trinity Moore and
Sarah Hale also had competitive moments in their matches, but Converse proved too strong, winning all six singles contests to complete the sweep.
