BRISTOL, Tenn.-  After a determined regular season campaign, King University Men's Soccer is back where it belongs—competing in the Conference Carolinas Tournament for the first time since 2018. The Tornado will travel to Mount Olive, North Carolina, to take on the University of Mount Olive in the first round on Wednesday, November 5 at 7:00 PM ET.
This marks a significant milestone for the program, which last reached the postseason seven years ago. That 2018 squad delivered a memorable 4-1 victory over Mount Olive, and this year's team is eager to write its own chapter in King soccer history.
A Fresh Opportunity
While Mount Olive holds the edge in the all-time series (9 wins to King's 4), tournament play offers a clean slate. King enters the match with renewed energy and a roster capable of competing at a high level. The Tornado have shown flashes of brilliance throughout the season, and now they have the chance to convert that potential into postseason success. King will need to stay sharp defensively and capitalize on scoring chances to advance.

  • Midfield control: King's ability to dictate tempo and transition quickly will be vital.
  • Defensive discipline: Limiting Mount Olive's set-piece opportunities and staying compact will be crucial.
