Bristol, Tenn. – King Athletics has announced the appointment of Antonio Gaetan as the Men's Assistant Volleyball Coach. Gaetan brings more than a decade of coaching experience, a strong record of player development, and proven leadership in building successful programs. A native of Puerto Rico, Gaetan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education from Bayamon Central University and a Master of Arts in Health and Physical Education from Interamerican University. His bilingual fluency in Spanish and English enhances his ability to mentor student-athletes from diverse backgrounds and foster inclusivity within the program.
Gaetan's coaching career spans Florida and Texas, where he has served in leadership roles at both the school and club levels. He worked as Physical Education Coach and Head Volleyball Coach at The Awty International School in Houston and as Head Coach and Program Director for HVA Volleyball Club. His contributions also include work with the NTDP Boys' Volleyball USA Program and coaching positions at Water Spring Middle School, Bridgewater Middle School, and elite clubs such as Orlando Gold, 352 Volleyball Club, and OBV Volleyball Club. Under his guidance, teams have achieved national titles at Boys' Juniors Nationals (2022), a Florida Fest championship (2023), and multiple undefeated AAU seasons.
Nationally recognized for his excellence, Gaetan has received several honors, including AVCA Diversity Coach of the Year (2023), USAV Hall of Fame Boys Indoor Coach of the Year (2023), and USA Florida Region Coach of the Year (2020). His coaching philosophy emphasizes holistic athlete development, integrating academic achievement, nutrition, and sportsmanship alongside athletic performance. In addition to his volleyball accomplishments, Gaetan has worked with the Orlando Magic NBA organization as a back-up development player and training program designer, further demonstrating his expertise in athlete preparation and staff development.
