Tigerville, S.C. – The King University women's volleyball team fought hard on the road Tuesday night but fell in straight sets to North Greenville, dropping a 3–0 decision inside Hayes Gymnasium. The Tornado (12–15, 10–10 Conference Carolinas) showed grit and determination, especially in the final frame, but the Crusaders (14–13, 12–8 Conference Carolinas) proved too efficient offensively to be denied.
Set One
North Greenville came out firing, hitting .481 as a team to take the opener 25–10. King struggled to find its rhythm, committing seven attack errors in the frame, while NGU's Anna Fiddelke and Samantha Ball set the tone early at the net.
Set Two
The Tornado regrouped and battled in the second set, leaning on the steady setting of
Amaya Hall and timely swings from
Riley Nelson and
Gracia Love. King kept rallies alive with scrappy defense, but North Greenville's balanced attack and strong serving carried them to a 25–17 win.
Set Three
King refused to go quietly, trading points throughout a competitive third set. Nelson and
Isabel Krick provided sparks offensively, while
Faith Morse anchored the back row with 15 digs. The Tornado hit .231 in the frame—by far their best of the night—but NGU's depth and efficiency closed out the sweep 25–21.
