MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The King University women's volleyball team fell to Chowan on Friday evening in three sets.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Cameron Martin started the match with a kill and an assist from Kylie Love. Both teams went back and forth for the majority of the first set.
- King took a 17-14 lead after a four-point run highlights by kills from Isabel Krick and Ella Kiser and a service ace from Amaya Hall.
- Chowan won the first set with a service ace. The set saw 7 lead changes and 11 tied scores.
- Martin had four kills to lead the King offense in the set. Both Hall and Riley Nelson recorded service aces while Gracia Love had a solo block.
- Martin again started the set with a kill and the Tornado got out to a 8-5 lead early on before a five-point run by the Hawks switched the leader.
- Kiser would tie the game at 23 before the game went into extra points, but Chowan came out on top by a score of 26-24.
- Martin once again led the Tornado with five kills and an ace. Riley Nelson had a service ace and a solo block.
- The third set followed suit with Martin once again began the set with a kill. She finished the set with five total kills.
- The Hawks however, dominated the final set to win the match.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Cameron Martin had a double-double with a match-high 14 kills and a team-high 11 digs. She also had a service ace.
- Kylie Love had a match-high 18 assists and 9 digs. Amaya Hall had 13 assists and a service ace as well as 9 digs. Faith Morse added 9 digs.
- Riley Love had two service aces and a solo block. Gracia Love also had a solo block.
