JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – The King University women's soccer team dropped their nonconference contest Wednesday night, 2-0 to Carson-Newman.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Carson-Newman started the scoring in the 11th minute, taking an early 1-0 lead.
- King goalie Olivia Seston made a pair of saves near the halfway point of the half, while Ella Froehlich took a shot in the final minute of the half that was blocked, sending the match into halftime with the Eagles leading 1-0.
- Froehlich had another shot in the 55th minute that was stopped by the Carson-Newman goalie.
- Carson-Newman added a goal in the 72nd minute, taking a 2-0 advantage.
- Brianna Sabatino took a quick shot after the restart, which was stopped by the goalie.
- The Eagles got a handful of shots in the final 10 minutes, but a pair of Seston saves held the Eagles to a 2-0 win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Froehlich had two shots on the night, one of which was on goal, while Sabatino had the other shot on goal.
- Seston made six saves in net for the Tornado.
