BRISTOL, Tenn. –
Amarius Beasley of the King University men's basketball team,
Alexa Gramann and
Brianna Dunbar of the King University women's basketball team have all been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District teams.
Beasley, a senior from Harvest, Ala., is appearing on the CSC Academic All-District team for the second consecutive season. This season, he appeared in 29 games, with 18 starts. He averaged 4.5 points and 1.7 rebounds per game, along with 20.7 minutes played per game. He scored a season-high 13 points Jan. 13 at Young Harris, while posting season-highs in rebounds (6) and steals (4) at Johnson & Wales on Jan. 8.
Gramann, a junior from Jefferson City, Tenn., is making her second appearance on the CSC Academic All-District team. This season, she appeared in all 29 games, making 25 starts. She averaged 23.3 minutes, 5.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game, while shooting 37 percent from the field. She had a season-high 20 points in the Tornado regular season finale win over Lees-McRae, where she also had a season-high 11 rebounds. In the Conference Carolinas tournament game against Converse, she scored seven points and had four offensive rebounds in 32 minutes played.
Dunbar, a senior from Oak Ridge, Tenn., is making her first career appearance on the CSC Academic All-District team. This season, she was the only Tornado to start all 29 games, averaging a team-high 25.4 minutes, 7.9 points and 2.5 rebounds per game. She scored a season-high 25 points Feb. 28 in a win over Lees-McRae that qualified the Tornado for the Conference Carolinas tournament, a night where she was 8-for-14 from the field.
The 2024 Academic All-District® Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baskeball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
