ADRIAN, Mich. – Competing in their first duals of the season, the #1 King University women's wrestling team went 3-1 Saturday at the Adrian Duals, with wins over #4 McKendree, #9 Sacred Heart and Brock University.

HOW IT HAPPENED – McKendree
- The Tornado won the first four bouts, including pins by Mia Zuniga and Clare Booe to take a 17-1 lead.
- After a McKendree win at 131, the Tornado won the next four, with pins by #1 Claire DiCugno and #4 Alexa Garcia before the Bearcats won the 207-pound match, making the final score 35-11.
HOW IT HAPPENED – Sacred Heart
HOW IT HAPPENED – Brock University
- All nine of the bout wins for the Tornado came via pin, with none of the matches making it out of the first period.
- Kibelbek, wrestling at 103 pounds, had the fastest pin of the day, 28 seconds to start the match, while Chavez and Booe each followed with 57 and 58-second pins.
- Brock University had just one win, which came at 180 pounds, with King finishing at 207 pounds with Isabella Calle winning via pin.
HOW IT HAPPENED – North Central
- The final match of the day saw the Tornado face no. 3 North Central, with the Tornado earning a win at 110 pounds, where Chavez won an 8-0 decision over no. 6 Kendra Ryan.
- King had three straight wins, starting at 138 pounds where C. DiCugno won via tech fall, while Drury won via pin over no. 5 Bella Mir and Bowman had a 6-3 decision victory, but the Cardinals won the dual, 26-17, handing King their first loss of the season.
