FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. – The King University men's wrestling team won eight of the 10 bouts Tuesday night at Emmanuel University, with seven of those wins coming via decision in a 27-9 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After Emmanuel won a decision at 125 pounds, Franky Medina won a 13-6 decision to tie the dual at three.
- The Lions would win a pin at 141 pounds, after which Demetri Teddlie recorded a takedown in the closing seconds to pull out a 12-10 win at 149 pounds.
- Brennan Watkins recorded a reversal in the second period of his 157-pound match, later adding a takedown to pull out a 5-0 decision, evening the score at nine.
- At 165 pounds, Trent Mahoney earned the riding time point, a point that would prove to be the difference in a 10-9 victory to put King in front, 12-9.
- King won the next three matches via decision before Jacob Telles won at 285 pounds via disqualification, clinching a 27-9 dual win for the Tornado.

- King will return home Friday for a Conference Carolinas dual against the University of Montevallo. The Tornado will wrestle the Falcons at 6:30 p.m., with Montevallo facing Lincoln Memorial University at 5 p.m.
