Moore earns all-region honors from ABCA

BRISTOL, Tenn. – The postseason accolades continue to roll in for Drew Moore of the King University baseball team, who was named American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) all-southeast region second team Wednesday morning. 

Moore, a senior from Virginia Beach, Va., also was named all-region by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) and the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA), while also being a first team all-conference selection.

Moore was among the nation's leaders in two categories, ranking third with six complete games and 14th with a 2.05 ERA. In the region, Moore ranked second in complete games and third in the region. He also ranked in the regions to 25 in three categories, 18th with a WHIP of 1.27, 21st in hits allowed per nine innings at 8.57 and 25th in walks allowed per nine innings at 2.82.

In Conference Carolinas, Moore ranks the top 10 in five categories, second in ERA, fourth with 70.1 innings pitched, ninth with a .252 opposing batting average, third with 25 runs allowed and first in earned runs allowed. He also is King's NCAA era leader in wins, games started, complete games, shutouts, innings pitched, looking strikeouts and pick offs while ranking third with career ERA of 3.88.
