Alex Sodre picked up a win at the top singles flight, but the King University men's tennis team dropped their Conference Carolinas dual Wednesday, falling to Converse University 6-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Converse swept the doubles matches, though the pairing of Rhys Halcrow and Andre Schiabel forced a tiebreak at the top flight before dropping a 7-6 (7-5) decision.
- After Sodre's 6-4, 6-3 win at no. 1 singles, Halcrow dropped his match at no. 2 singles, falling 6-2, 6-1.
- The Valkyries also won at no. 3 and 4 singles before taking the win at the fifth singles flight as well.
- The final singles match came at no. 6 singles, where Mason Hunt fell 6-3, 6-0.
