BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women's tennis team dropped their Conference Carolinas opener to Erskine College on Saturday. The Flying Fleet took the doubles point and all six single matches to win the dual 7-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tornado dropped the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches 6-0 and 6-2 as the Flying Fleet took the 1-0 lead going to singles play.
- At No. 1 singles, Deniz Aytun won the first set over Emma Bentz 6-3, but dropped the next two 6-2 and 10-8.
- Neem Shamsuddin won the first set at No. 3 singles over Luize Valtere 6-4, but dropped the next two 6-4 and 10-4.
- Erskine won the No. 2 and No. 4 singles matches in straight sets and took the last two singles matches by default to win the dual 7-0.

- King is in action again on Tuesday when they host Belmont Abbey College at 1:00 p.m.
- Erskine next hosts Chowan University on Friday.
