BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's wrestling team won nine of the 10 bouts Friday night as they downed Bluefield State University 42-6 in a nonconference dual. Of the nine wins, six came with bonus points, including three pins.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The dual started at 125 pounds, where Tyson Upchurch won a 11-3 major decision to give King the early lead.
- After Franky Medina needed every second of the first period to secure a 16-0 tech fall, Austin Kolikas pinned his opponent in just 2:12, extending the lead to 15-0.
- Demetri Teddlie won a 11-7 decision at 149 pounds before Trent Mahoney picked up a win, pinning Harley Boatwright in 2:20 to make the lead 24-0.
- After back-to-back decision wins at 165 and 174 pounds, Clint Morriesette won another first period pin, needing just 2:02 to beat Jordan Ruedi and extend the lead further, 36-0.
- The Big Blue picked up their lone win of the night at 197 pounds before Jacob Telles claimed a forfeit win at 285 pounds to close the dual, with King winning 42-6.
UP NEXT
- This was the final regular season dual for the Tornado, who now turn their eyes to the Super Region II tournament, scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 25 in Pembroke, N.C.
- Bluefield State will take on Glenville State College on Feb. 19 before their Super Region tournament.
