Ella Froehlich of the King University women's soccer team and
Julianna Go of the King University women's golf team have been named the Conference Carolinas Freshmen of the Month by the conference office.
Froehlich, a freshman from Sunbury, Ohio, scored five goals and had four assists during October. She scored her first goal of the month in a 3-2 win over Belmont Abbey before adding a goal Oct. 7 against Chowan. She finished the month with three goals in the final two matches, including a two-goal performance Oct. 28 in a 7-1 win over Erskine, a night where she also had an assist.
Go, a freshman from San Juan, Philippines, competed in two events during the month, finishing seventh at the Upstate Fall Intercollegiate, shooting a 36-hole score of 156. At the Buzz Off Invitational, she finished third, with a total of 152.
