Blankenship named second team All-Conference

BRISTOL, Tenn. – Hailee Blankenship of the King University women's volleyball team has been named second team All-Conference Carolinas, the second straight year she has earned all-conference honors.

Blankenship, a senior from Goode, Va., averaged 3.67 kills and 2.96 digs per set, with 15 double-doubles. She had a career-high 24 kills Nov. 3 against Converse, and cleared the 20 kill mark five times on the season. On Oct. 7 against Barton, she had a season-high eight service aces in a 3-2 Tornado victory.

Blankenship finishes the season ranked in the top-10 in Conference Carolinas in aces per set (3rd, 0.50), Attacks per set (3rd, 10.88), kills per set (4th, 3.67) and Service Aces (2nd, 53).  In her four-year career, Blankenship averaged 3.17 kills per set, along with 2.85 digs per set. She is 3rd in King's Division II era in career kills with 1,103 and is 4th in career kills per set at 3.17. She also is 7th in the Division II era in attack percentage at .195.
