BELMONT, N.C. – The King University men's wrestling team won four bouts Friday night, but a string of Belmont Abbey bonus points would be the difference, as the Tornado dropped a 26-15 decision to the Crusaders.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Crusaders won the first four bouts of the night, three of which resulted in bonus point wins to take a 17-0 lead.
- Trent Mahoney picked up the first win of the night for the Tornado at 157 pounds, winning 5-2 over Maxwell Kiel.
- Bo Perkins won a pin at 165 pounds, needing 4:40 to dispatch Paul Jakub, bringing the score to 17-9.
- After a late takedown gave the Crusaders a win at 174 pounds, Clint Morriesette won a 6-4 decision over Amir Joseph in the first overtime period, earning three more points for the Tornado, making the score 20-12.
- The Crusaders won a pin at 197 pounds before Jacob Telles outlasted John Carroll III at 285 pounds, winning a 4-2 decision to close the dual.

- King will return to the Student Center Complex Tuesday to host a tri-meet with Emmanuel and Limestone.
- Belmont Abbey will host the Crusader Throwdown Wednesday before a road dual at Coker and Lincoln Memorial on Saturday.
