BRISTOL, Tenn. –
Robbie Scott of the King University baseball team was selected All-Southeast Region by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA). He becomes the third Tornado to earn this distinction as he was named to the second team.
Scott joins Ryan Witt, 2016 first team and Jose Sola, honorable mention in 2015 as the only three players in program history to garner all-region recognition from the ABCA.
Earlier this spring, Scott was named second team All-Conference Carolinas after leading the Tornado in numerous offensive categories. His .366 batting average is 15th in Conference Carolinas as also ranks in the league's top 20 in slugging percentage (.579), on base percentage (.455), on base plus slugging (1.024). He drove in 45 runs this season, ranking him 23rd in the league.
Scott leads the Tornado with 20 multiple hit games, including two with four hits, as well as 11 multiple RBI games. He drove in six with a pair of home runs against Emmanuel College and drove in five against Southern Wesleyan University. He also hit two home runs in a game against Tusculum University.
