BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's tennis team opened their spring schedule on Wednesday against Bluefield State College. The Tornado took a pair of singles matches, but that was it as the Big Blue won the dual 5-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bluefield State won all three doubles matches to take the doubles point.
- King tried to fight back in singles play as Mat Vieira defeated Fernando Arguello 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 at the fifth flight.
- At No. 6 singles, Kyle Robinson defeated Alex Ramsey 6-4, 6-1.
- Rhys Halcrow went five sets at No. 2 singles and Alex Sodre fell 6-4. 7-6 (7-5) at the top flight.
- Andre Schiabel dropped a three-set match to Tom Schmieta, 6-2, 3-6, 6-0.
- Bluefield State then won the final singles match to take the dual 5-2.
